"3rd Convocation Ceremony of Mid-West University "
Today on March 7, 2025, the historic 3rd Convocation Ceremony of Mid-West University was successfully done at the university's central administrative building premises in Kuinepani Surkhet,Nepal . The ceremony was presided over by the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister and Chancellor of Mid-West University, KP Sharma Oli (UML) . The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mahendra P Lama, the founding Vice-Chancellor of Sikkim Central University and a professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, alongside the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Dhruba Kumar Gautam.
During this program , Rt. Honorable Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli formally conferred degrees to 3,841 graduates from various faculties and programs. In his address, he highlighted Karnali Province’s rich historical and cultural legacy, urging the graduating students to contribute to society and the nation while striving for continued progress and successful in life.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mahendra P. Lama, delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging graduates to break down barriers and move forward on the path of prosperity. He emphasized that Mid-West University has the potential to establish a unique identity in the academic landscape because it's newly establist university.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dhruba Kumar Gautam welcomed all esteemed guests and provided an overview of the university’s current status, academic programs, and future plans. The ceremony was facilitated by the university’s Registrar, Prof. Dr. Shobhakar Kandel.Prior to the convocation, the 16th senate meeting of Mid-West University was held. The event saw the participation of the Honorable Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yam Lal Kandel, honorable ministers, university senate members, officials, professors, staff, students, journalists, and other guests.
